Base by Dreamy's Room, site closed, inspiration
Despite her age, I still like this one a lot. Probably because it's someone else's design.
|
Base
I went off this one for a long time, but for now I like her again. This is still the best silk I've done.

Base
The second, and only surviving, space bandit. I think it was just because they were on the layout for so long that
I got sick of the others, but I still like this one.
|
Base
Inspired by what someone was wearing in an ad for a dishwasher, for a contest. The flaily bits at the bottom took forever and they look kind of crazy. So
does her hair. Those blobs drifting about her head are water blobs. Or something. I think I like this one, but I really can't tell.

My base
The first of the rehashed season dolls, autumn. Started out as just a doll in a dress before I decided she was a season. I love her outfit, and that
she's wearing wellies. And her face worked out nicely. Definitely my favourite.
|
My base
My second favourite of these four dolls, summer. I love the shading on her dress, it worked out so much better than I thought it would. Her
hair was somewhat less successful, but I still like it.

My base
Spring. I had so much trouble with her dress, then with what shoes to give her, and then how to do her hair. I like the final product enough, but
it was too much hassle for me to like her a lot.
|
My base
I didn't want winter to be all bundled up in big coats, I wanted her to get a nice dress like the other girls, but she gets layers and fuzzy boots to make
her look more wintery. I'm not so keen on her hair, but I was running out of ideas by this point and didn't want spring to be the only one without wavy hair.

Base
A tudor girl done for a fashion through the ages collab at TG. I really like this one.
|
Base
A norman girl for the same collab. This one is a bit boring, but the shading is fine and I can't really hold a plain design against her.

My base
An experiment with hair and a test doll for a new base.
|
Base
The portrait part of my MDI entry. After missing the rule about her hair having to be loose, I spent ages on an up-do
which, sadly, looked much nicer than this. Ahh well. I'm very happy with her face edit, even if her hair is a bit dull.

My base
Elena for MDI round 2. I didn't really get this round and the more entries I see, the more I think I did the wrong thing.
Never mind. I don't like her as much as round 1, but the skirt worked pretty well and her hair is pretty.
|
Base
Inspired by 80s fashion! Fun times. I like her afro.
|
|
|
|
|
My base
Military chic. I don't like her hair, but I do like her boots.
|
Base
I spent a long time looking for a base (and thinking of a suitable pose to make my own) for the jester doll I had in mind before
it occurred to me that I only really wanted to do the hat and ruff. Portrait, it is! I love the shading here.

Base
11 colours, including the transparency colour. She worked better than I thought she would, and I really like her shorts.
|
My base
Playing with a hairstyle I hadn't tried before.

My base
My final doll for MADADIM at TG. Unsurprisingly, I spent more time on the balloons than on the doll.
|
Base
A spy for the TG collab. This is what I think of
when I think of spies. I don't think they'd look very discreet.

My base
I wanted to do some bold make-up and this ended up being much tamer than I intended, but I like her all the same.
|
My base
Playing with big hair and more exciting make-up. I'm very happy with this one.

My base
A statue, inspired by all marble statues with veils (because it blows my mind that someone can carve that).
|
Base
I don't know quite what use a gasmask would be with a short-sleeved t-shirt, or how dangerous a converted hairdryer that shoots bubbles
would really be, but she's ready for action nonetheless.

|
|
Base
Something a bit fun to get out of a dolling rut. Her shoes are a bit weird, but I love her dress.
|
Base
A fairly simple flapper. Tried a new perspective on the face and I'm not sure it worked.

My base
A paper chain of dolls coloured in to look different. They turned out okay, despite lighting being a bit of a pain. I'm really
happy with the yellow dress.
|
Base
I like bubbles.
