Base Yet again this very old doll has managed to survive a clear-out of old dolls. I still really like him.	Base by Beautiful World, site closed I still like the hair on this one. The outfit is mostly inspired by one Marissa wore in The OC.

My base Vaguely inspired by the quirkiness of Clementine from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (aka, weirdly coloured hair). I really like this one, she's got such a relaxed look and she's nicely scruffy.	My base I have more dolls with names than I think I do, this one's called Mia. The top's inspired by one I saw on Candybar.

Base by Children of the Revolution, site closed The remake of an older doll which marked a substantial improvement in my shading at the time. Without really trying, this one's much better. I suppose I could remake her again, but I still think this one is pretty good.	Base The one who graced a layout for a fair while. I have these shoes, and still wear them all the time. Sometimes with stripy socks.

Base by JeJune, site closed I like the shading on her dress, and though her hair is a bit rubbish I find it sort of endearing now.	Base by Kenzy, site closed I have that top! I really like the shading here, especially on the wall. I'm not usually much good at walls like this, but this one worked well. I like the grass too.

Base The excitement that is a male doll. I'm pretty proud of the shading on his trousers, and I love his hair. Originally made for a full male doll tutorial, but I like him too much for that XD.	Base I love the shading on this dress. I don't even care that, given how creased it is, it probably reaches her knees. I like her shoes too, and her hair (even though it's pretty much copied completely from an older doll of mine).

Base I love her outfit, especially the way the tattered jeans worked and that the hat actually looks knitted (to me, at least).	My base My gift to friends for Christmas '06, minus an array of glowing fairy lights. She was originally going to be me, and kind of still is, but not enough to actually be in with dolls of me. I'd feel like a fraud when I only have one thing from the outfit and have never been in a bubble chair.

Bases Done for a sisters contest. I'm so proud of this little group. I could say so much about it but won't because that would be boring, instead I'll just assure you that a lot of thought went into these three, mostly in ways most people probably won't notice.	Base by Historical Dolls, site closed. This dolls took ages, mostly because of the pattern on her skirt which you can barely see. While I couldn't decide whether to give her a necklace or not at first, now I can't see how I ever liked the other version as much as this one.

Base Just a quick thing really. I really like the shading on her jeans. Her hair worked quite well too. Her slippers don't really fit, as much as I like how they worked.	Base, Inspiration I like the colours and hair on this one, but the dress is a bit weirdly shaded. Hmm.

Base I love this doll. I think it's just all the different patterns. So easily pleased.	My base She has an umbrella! She originally had a plain bluey-grey one that, shading-wise, actually looked better than this one, but I couldn't resist giving her a rainbow one. I love her hair. A lot.

Base Mostly based on a picture of Ingrid Michaelson. I really like the top half of the doll and don't especially like the bottom half. Her hair's cute.	Base by Historical Dolls, site closed, inspiration I really like this one. Especially her hair. And her t-shirt, glasses and shoes. The trousers aren't bad either, if I do say so myself.

Base My first doll after a fairly long break. I quite like her, though was surprised at how rusty I felt after only a few months.	My base Testing a new portrait base. I really love how the hair worked.

Base This was a refreshing doll to draw. I spent much longer on her than I usually do even though the outfit isn't anything special, and I'm really satisfied with the result.	Base Just a simple summery doll. She's kind of cute, but a bit boring. I like her hair and shorts though.

My base I worked on this one on and off for a few weeks from making the base to finishing the dolls, and I'm really, really happy with the end result. I especially like her hair and jeans.	Base One the one hand, I like the dress. On the other hand, the hair is about the worst I could pull off while really trying. On the other hand, the idea behind the outfit is cute enough. On the last hand, each item of clothing seems to have its own lightsource. With all those hands I can't see this one staying up for long, but I guess it deserves something for torturing me for so long.

Base I've had a picture of this skirt saved for the longest time meaning to try dolling it, and when I finally got around to it it worked out much better than I thought it would. I love her top too.	Base I had great plans for this one involving props and everything, but then got bored halfway through and thought I'd better throw in something for her to be sitting on and leaning against then call her done before she joined the ranks of never-finished dolls. I think she turned out okay even so.

Base Light! I hadn't really planned to be quite so ambitious with this one, but I think it worked out pretty well.	My base Playing with folds and testing a new base. I had a lot of trouble settling on a hairstyle. This one is a bit dull, but it'll do.

Base Putting the up-do I was going to use on my MDI portrait to good use elsewhere. I love her sunglasses.	My base She started out being a lot more colourful, but I ended up changing everything (several times) until she was almost entirely blue, then backtracked to this. She's not much, but I like her.

Base A dancing girl. She was done fairly quickly so I'm pretty happy with how she turned out.	Base A slouchy, washing-day outfit. I quite like how her hair and hoody turned out. Though you can't tell, it's meant to be a biro and pencil holding her hair up.

Base This doll went through a surprising number of colour combinations before I arrived at this, and I'm still not convinced I wouldn't prefer her as a brunette. With a green jacket. Maybe a different colour scarf...	Base I knew I wanted to doll a hood and that's as far as planning the outfit went, so she's a bit bland. I like her freckles.
